Our client, Allstate Construction has been in business since 1986. Today they have offices located in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Ocala, Lynn Haven, Florida, and Perry, Georgia. The company serves a variety of clients in multiple verticals.
Allstate performed the high-profile renovations to the existing Florida Senate Chamber in the State Capitol Building. It was built in the mid-70s, therefore many systems had to be upgraded to meet current codes and new energy efficiency standards.
Sorensen was the ideal partner to handle liquidation, moving, and art installation.
Our part of the project was completed in two phases total of 11 days on-site. This facility is high security, and all team members were required to obtain security clearances. This was not new to Sorensen Team. We successfully worked on other government projects requiring proof of eligibility for access in the past.

HOW WE HELPED

Our experts liquidated and relocated 3 floors of historically- significant artwork, furniture, placards, and photographs within 8 days. This task presented a unique challenge. While all the artwork had to be removed, not all of it was to be returned. Moreover, some pieces did not go to their original location.
In order to circumvent this challenge, Sorensen created a digitized photo catalog. We were able to leverage a low coding platform, QuickBase, to quickly create an online database for the team and the customer.
Utilizing QuickBase’s mobile functionality, it was simple for our crew to catalog the entire building efficiently. Using PAKT’s multi-purpose cardboard crates, we were able to easily protect this priceless history and inventory each picture to the exact crate.
Above all, Sorensen completed this unique project, seamlessly reinstalling Senate`s historic gallery in support of the renovation efforts.

Our Key services are Project Management, Liquidation/Decommission, Commercial Moving, and High-value Asset Relocation.
