‘Tis the season for gourds, ghouls, and grande pumpkin spice lattes…but the spookiest part of fall is being without a costume on Halloween! Check out our round-up of DIY costumes, and get some ideas on how to recycle any cardboard or boxes you’ve got around the house. With a little imagination you can put your own personality into these costumes, or maybe this post will inspire a unique idea for your ensemble this year!

For the Monsters:

If you don’t want to deal with sticky face paints, or fake blood and false teeth, take a look at these monster-themed costumes.

Cartoon Kiddos:

This is the one night a year that we’re allowed to step away from reality, so get creative and embrace the nonsense!

Animal Lover:

If you’ve got a wild child, or you just love creatures of all kinds, see if you can execute one of these animal DIY costumes.

For the Big Kids:

Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the kids on the inside- here’s some ideas for adults too! Try putting your own spin on any one of the costumes from this post, and have fun handing out candy, having personal space at a party, and trick-or-treating this Halloween!

Whatever your plans for this holiday, please remember to be safe while out and about at night! Bonus points to you if you incorporate glow sticks, battery-pack LED lights, or glow-in-the-dark paint in your DIY Halloween costume this year.
